Buddy Walks

“I love my buddy”—Jet Greyhound and Phoenix Aussiedoodle

Dog walks are small group outings of 2-3 dogs to the trails or on the streets for a minimum of one hour of exercise and enrichment time. Dogs can be on-leash or off-leash or walked on a long line. Buddy walks can be appropriate for dogs who are not yet ready for a regular group hike of up to six dogs in a pack. The walker can work with dogs on recall, social skills, comfort in vehicles, and building endurance. We decide which trail to go to depending on trail, traffic, and weather conditions, and on group size and fitness level.

All dogs are up to date on shots and good with other dogs. We're not dog trainers but we do constantly reinforce good trail manners with rewards. Walkers pick up from and return your dog to your home, rinsing and/or toweling your dog off as needed, and leave your relaxed and happy dog to wait for you.

We do not offer buddy hikes on evenings, weekends, or holidays, but we may be able to give your dog a private walk on those days if needed. Clients must sign up for a package of at least two walks per week on a regular schedule. No credits are given for cancellations. Clients sign up for auto-pay and their credit cards are debited monthly after services have been completed.

"I recommend Molly and her fabulous team at Doggy Lama unreservedly! They have walked and boarded two dogs for us since 2008 and are completely trustworthy, compassionate and beloved by the dogs. When one of our dogs got cancer at an early age, Molly herself walked him almost every day that we could not, to ensure that the time he had left was as enjoyable as possible. I am forever grateful."
